Jimotti's Restaurant, by former Morimoto Asia head sushi chef Junichi Takazoe, will open on South French Avenue in Sanford in two or three weeks. Takazoe says he'll serve "ingenious and creative" Japanese tapas dishes, as well as rare sakes and Japanese beers.
Swank Disney Springs steakhouse STK will serve spinalis, aka "butcher's butter," aka calotte, aka ribeye cap, in celebration of June, aka National Steakhouse Month. The ridiculously tender, almost buttery cut is the favorite of many a steak aficionado.

Fatto in Casa has closed shop in East End Market; a pop-up collab between Gezellig Cookies and Flour Life Bakery will occupy the space from June 15-July 14 ... Park Plaza Gardens is embroiled in a bitter legal dispute with the landlord. Don't expect it to reopen anytime soon.
