Putting the 'boy' in boycott

Members of a well-equipped surveillance group called Christian Action Network vowed to boycott Disney yet again last week upon release of a videotape that the group's president, Martin Mawyer, made depicting two male Disney employees dancing together suggestively in Mannequins Dance Palace during the June Gay Days celebration. "This homosexual debauchery will be the final straw that breaks Disney's back," claimed Mawyer, marking the 38th prediction of Disney ruin by a Christian conservative since the original Southern Baptist boycott began in 1995.

Disney spokesman Bill Warren called the dance routine "unscripted" and "inappropriate," vowing discipline. The dancers' Actors Equity contract allows for suspension pending an investigation, according to business representative Ben Wills. Notably, the dance in question is the same one performed every night at the club -- but usually in a boy-girl formation.
