If your Christmas gift for that particular gourmand in your life was a bust, consider making amends by snagging tickets to one of three very special chef's dinners coming up. The aptly named Outstanding in the Field returns to Lake Meadow Naturals for two nights, with chef Kevin Fonzo Jan. 17 and chef Kathleen Blake Jan. 18 ($215 per person, outstandinginthefield.com), and the Second Annual Field to Feast Dinner featuring Walt Disney World chefs and sommeliers is March 14 at Long & Scott Farms in Mount Dora ($165 per person; edibleorlando.com).

They're back! Both Donut King locales (the new one on Howell Branch Road in Winter Park and the original on South Highway 27 in Minneola) are serving cronuts.

David Siegel's Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa on Turkey Lake Road is expanding to include a "retail village," which will ultimately house the Edge Steakhouse (serving only certified USDA Prime aged beef), as well as Drafts Sports Bar & Grill. Target opening date is June 2015.
