When an ordinary ice cream cone isn't enough, head over to the Marble Slab Creamery.
Here, they turn ice-cream cones into an art form, whipping up a dozen flavors of premium ice cream daily in small batches to ensure freshness. Choose your scoop from tubs of coconut, double-dark chocolate, Key lime and more. Then pick from the cookie or candy "mixins."
They'll plop it all onto a slab of marble behind the counter and pound and fold the ice cream and mixins into one delicious blob. If you want, they'll pack it into a cone -- try vanilla-cinnamon or honey-wheat -- fresh off the waffle iron.
It's a little pricey at $2.75 for a single-scoop cone with one mixin. But that doesn't stop the crowds. On Sunday afternoons, it's common to find a 10-minute wait for a seat in the cozy, little parlor.
