Stop doing doughnuts in the parking lot and listen. The Amazing Royal Crowns have been racing up and down the Eastern Seaboard sweating great big buckets of unoriginal but irresistible "punkabilly" tunes straight from the raucous nightclubs of the rock & roll era of days past. This is how it was: perspiration from every brow and stand-up bass players popping like their lives depended on it. Wah-wah pedals are not an option. None of these guys are going to win any endorsement contracts for their technical ability, but play cuts like "Do the Devil" and "Wreckin Machine" at your next party and prepare to have a hole stomped clean through your porch. Bottom line: This CD is the musical equivalent of a nitro-burning funny car race.
