Misfits horror-punk meets Agent Orange surf-rock -- with a dash of psychobilly -- on The X-Impossibles' self-titled EP. Lead singer Tim Lumley certainly has former Misfits singer Glen Danzig's vocal thing down, which adds guts and aggression to the Atlanta quintet's blistering garage rock. Meanwhile, guitarists Heidi Bartell and Shawn Christians grind out Cramps-style creepy licks.

Ghoulish romper-stomper "Murder Mystery" gets the action started on the introductory disc. "Dive Bomb" is the kind of song that needs to be cranked on the stereo as you drive away aggressions on I-4. "Come On" is a sped-up Blues Brothers riff, hammered through your skull by a jackhammer rhythm section. The X-Impossibles drive home deliciously fun high-speed chase music.
