"A Swingerhead Christmas" by Michael Andrew and his cool cats is a fun arrangement of traditionals and originals that benefits from the help of a few musical elves.
Royal Crown Revue's Eddie Nichols and Dem Brooklyn Bums' "Broccoli" Rob lend their pipes to a rousing "We Three Kings." Umöja's Eugene Snowden adds spicy percussion to "Mistletoe Mambo" and, along with Stace Bass, injects a little cha-cha-cha into "Winter Wonderland." Toxic Audio's angelic voices add flair to "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." Guitar hero Randy J. shows up on "I'll Be Home For Christmas (Part One)." There simply isn't a better locally bred holiday CD.
