Review - Audiochrome

Artist: Larry Kucharz

Classical composer turned dance/techno/electronica whiz Dr. Larry Kucharz knows how to get your attention. As if the breadth between his two genres isn't wide enough to drive a Wal-Mart delivery truck through, his new shtick is certain to settle up with you: That happens to be the nine selections on "Audiochrome" which are respectively titled "U301" through "U309."

The good doctor delivers innovative, experimental electronic music -- in a way, it reminds me of the tribal/ceremonial dances of my Choctaw Indian ancestors. At times, certain areas tend to border on monotony, but overall this CD is a refreshing, vocalless spiritual detour from the everyday norm of four-bar changes.
