Paul Westerberg resurfaces again as his alter ego Grandpaboy on "Dead Man Shake," and he shows that the years have not dulled his pen. This mixture of blues, country, and rockabilly cuts is all guitar-driven and includes covers of John Prine and Hank Williams. (Westerberg adds authenticity by recording "I'm So Lonesome" in a fashion that evokes the '50s-era original.)
