People, we've got controversary. Right here in the City Beautiful. With a capital "C" and that makes a sound like "K" and that rhymes with "A" and that stands for Art. (My rhythm is off, but you get the gist of it.)
Tonight, and only tonight because the contents of this event are "too controversial to stay up for the entire month" (from the press release), Dandelion Communitea Cafe is hosting an art show. The exhibit consists of pieces by some local Girl Scouts. These girls were deeply, deeply offended by something. So they decided to paint about it. And... and that is all my sensibilities will allow me to say.
Again from the press release: Can six teenage Girl Scouts really be passionate and daring enough to cause controversy? See for yourself tonight.
Two other artists are also going to be there: Elizabeth St. Hilaire Nelson and Johne. But I don't think they're doing anything controversial.
It starts at 9 p.m. You've been warned.
