What We See When We Look Back 7-11 p.m. Friday, July 9 Twelve21 Gallery 1221-C N. Orange Ave., Orlando, 32804 407-982-4357 Free, beer and wine served Twelve21 Gallery, the exhibition space that acts as a roommate to the Laughing Samurai Creative Agency, opens up a new show Friday, featuring work from local artists Danielle DeGuglimo and Josh Erickson as well as Palm Beach’s Nelson Hallonquist. Their styles are diverse, but there is a commonality in the way they capture a sense of the coming together of past and present. DeGuglimo, a recent UCF grad, specializes in mixed media and wood cuts; photographer Erickson overlays slides from different points in time and places; and Hallonquist uses acrylics in a monochromatic style, but also dabbles in video and performance art.
