I got a call today from Yuri Dakhnov of Russian Television. And Yuri is looking for some help for the RT correspondent headed to Cape Canaveral for the Discovery launch, which has just been approved for Wednesday, thus creating a time crunch for our comrade.
Yuri is looking for insight from experienced launch watchers who have their own personal traditions about how to enjoy the thrill of a rocket rising. A tailgate party? A secluded spot for private watching? Maybe you have a private museum or homage to the Discovery launches that you’d like to share with Moscow. Maybe you hide under the bed.
But don’t keep Yuri waiting. Send him an e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. And remember the code word: Orlando Weekly.
