Sanctum, the new 3D "experience" executive produced by James Cameron, opens on RealD and IMAX 3D screens on Friday, but before you head out to the theater, you may want to stop by the Sanctum CineTransformer mobile experience at A Comic Shop, near Full Sail (Google Map). The CineTransformer will, supposedly, immerse you fully "into the inner-world of Sanctum as you are submerged into a cave-like atmosphere to watch the 3D trailer and exclusive 3D scenes from the film."
Sounds interesting, and if anyone can fulfill that promise, it's certainly James Cameron.
The 3D action-thriller Sanctum, from executive producer James Cameron, follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea.
For those of you, like me, who can't stand the 3D experience, you can head on over to Roger Ebert's blog and read Walter Murch's smart, well thought-out dismissal of the premium ticket price format.
(Hey, guess what? JC is on Twitter now. Thanks, Seacrest.)
