Amway Center delivers on one promise, at least. Kinda.

Remember back in October, when Mayor Buddy Dyer cut the blue ribbon to the Amway Center – taxpayer price tag: $480 billion – to the sounds of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing?" We were promised the Eagles to start, and "Bon Jovi will play two dates this spring!" Dyer shouted.

The Eagles never landed for that opening show (Don Henley was sick or something) but now, finally, Dyer has delivered on his promise of big-haired nostalgia.

Bon Jovi is playing the Amway Center. This summer, though. (Update: Billy Manes says it's still spring in May. Whatever, it's hot.) And once. May 15. Yippee.

(Is it wrong that I fully expected the announcement to read "at UCF Arena?" Man, that place can swipe some shit from the Amway's grasp. It's hilarious.)
