Um, you know Thin Lizzy is Irish too, right?

Sons and daughters of Ireland, I have nothing but respect for you. Seriously, some of my best friends are Irish. Some of my best girlfriends were Irish. That's why, this St. Patrick's Day, I will not have a hand in anything that caricatures your noble people. I will not drink green beer. I will not attempt a brogue for levity's sake. Most importantly, I will not go downtown and participate in the frat and post-frat party that coopts your heritage for one night as an excuse for public stupidity.

But I will celebrate you! For those who also want to celebrate but want to avoid the amateur parade, I have a St. Patty's Day alternative: The THIN LIZZY TRIBUTE at Will's Pub. It's organized by dope local blog (aka, OW music contributor Jason Ferguson) so it's stacked with musicians and the cheap cover charge goes toward relief in Japan. Now you have plans. You're welcome!
