Selection Reminder: Jeff Jones' Little Miss Parliament House opens tonight!

Through Jan. 28Little Miss Parliament House

What’s creepier than watching a bunch of little girls dressed up as hot women, strutting around a stage in skimpy outfits, bikinis and more mascara than an Ulta store employee? Grown men dressed up as little girls pretending to be hot women doing the same thing. Which is exactly why this comedy spoof, written by local comedian Jeff Jones, sounds disturbingly genius. A rotating cast of male “contestants” will play little girls vying for sashes and titles, and winners will be picked by audience members selected to play “judges.” Whether you find the inspiration for this play truly fascinating or deeply disconcerting (see Toddlers & Tiaras or Little Miss Perfect, the reality shows that cover the absolute insanity that is the world of kiddie glitz pageants), there’s probably something in this for you. – Erin Sullivan (through Jan. 28 at Footlight Theater at the Parliament House, 410 N. Orange Blossom Trail; 407-425-7571;; $15 in advance, $17 at the door)
