Notable Noise: This Week's Best Shows

You know how all summer, I've been all "yeah, summer is a slow time for shows, but this week is totally okay!"? Well, that sunny optimism runs out this week. This week's show calendar sucks. Static-X, Stryper, and Warped Tour are the big shows this week. Thankfully, some good stuff is happening on a smaller scale, with a brutal punk show at Will's on Friday, Flashlights at Back Booth on Wednesday, and, uh, Toadies at House of Blues (?).

There were about eleventy billion awesome/hilarious photos of Stryper that came up in Google Images, but I picked this one because 1) it's labeled 'stryper-sickos.jpg' and, 2) it came from www.jesus-is-savior.com as part of one of the most awe-inspiring rants about "real Christianity" that I have ever read. (Its caption there was "Do these abominable cross-dressers look like Christian men to you?")
