As a life-long reader of Charlie Brown cartoons, I was eager to take a tour this afternoon of "Peanuts...Naturally," the latest traveling exhibit to visit downtown Orlando's Orange County Regional History Center. Presented by the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa California, the collection centers on themes of environmental conservation and science education. Reproductions of Schulz's original comic strips sit alongside interactive activities for kids, appealing to opposite ends of the Snoopy-loving demographic.

The exhibit, which is included with museum admission, opens to the public tomorrow with a panel discussion featuring cartoonists Allen Bellman, Jeff Parker, Mark Simon, Rob Smith Jr., and Tim Hollis. Other upcoming events with a Peanuts tie-in include a Halloween trick-or-treat "safe zone" (featuring Linus' pumpkin patch) and an SPCA-sponsored dog fair in Heritage Square Park on November 3.

The exhibit will be on display at 65 E Central Blvd through December 31. Visit thehistorycenter.org for more information.
