Saturday, Oct. 6 – Riverboat Gamblers

with Cobra Skulls

8 p.m.

The Social

54 N. Orange Ave.

While other punk bands waste all their time and breath sorting out their politics and party lines, Texas’ Riverboat Gamblers have always just been about taking things back to when punk actually knew how to rock. Packing all the classic steez you please like the Lone Star State’s answer to the Dictators, these boys are definitely from the rock & roll school of punk, where it’s cool if you wag that ass or hang your cock out a little. Yeah, you know, where the party’s at, where it’s always been. And with all the fist-pumping gusto and group chants throbbing in their life-affirming denim anthems, this is a band worth getting wild with in person. Tear down the establishment? We’ll see after the keg is tapped. – Bao Le-Huu
