Sunday, Oct. 7 – 7 Lives of Chance
Timucua White House
2000 S. Summerlin Ave.
On the surface, 7 Lives of Chance may look like a twisted independent project about the zany situations that occur when a severe personality disorder meets balloon fetish. At its core, however, the film is about the deeper implications of hoarding and the deceptive nature of memories. From the mind of filmmaker Banks Helfrich, 7 Lives is a ride into the absurd, and no trip is complete without some serious tunes along the way. The score, composed by Cirque du Soleil conductor and Timucua White House organizer Benoit Glazer, has a complementary yet unique vibe all its own. After the film’s screening, Helfrich, a seven-time performer on The Late Show With David Letterman, will meet with audience members. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, perhaps his stage name – Jiggleman – will. Yup, it’s gonna be one of those nights. – Victor Ocasio
