Live art, music and more at Yellow Dog Eats' Woofstock

Noon-5 p.m.

Yellow Dog Eats

1236 Hempel Ave., Gotha

In 2011, Yellow Dog Eats in Gotha held its first Woofstock to celebrate the release of its new vegan menu. They had local artists and artisans, music, food and vendors – and it was so successful that they decided to hold another one for 2012. This year, it’s an afternoon event (last year’s took place in the evening) and it’s styled after a community market. You can pick up locally made peanut butter, sprouts and cupcakes; browse the plants, jewelry and other goods up for sale; or just listen to music from Mudrooster, Lostghosts and more. Sample some wine, have lunch at Yellow Dog and help the best little neighborhood joint in its tiny burg celebrate community. The first keg is free until it floats, as they say, and they’ll also be giving away the first 25 glasses of sangria at no charge. So get there early! – Erin Sullivan
