If you’re heading to Amway Center tonight to watch the Orlando Solar Bears take on the Fort Wayne Komets, make sure to bring along a new teddy bear or stuffed animal. During the game’s first intermission, the team will hold a Teddy Bear Toss, where fans will be asked to throw donated stuffed animals onto the ice rink. The furry friends will be distributed to Central Florida families through organizations such as Toys for Tots and the 106.7 FM Baby DJ Program. A limited supply of stuffed animals will be for sale at the arena, and net proceeds will be donated to local charities. And because no good deed goes unseen, fans will have the chance to register their bear for grand prizes, like tickets to the upcoming Justin Bieber concert and front-row seats to a Solar Bears game. For more information about the Teddy Bear Toss, visit the Solar Bears website.
