Day Joy's beautiful bummer

Day Joy's dreamy, atmospheric track "Go to Sleep, Mess," got a video to go along with it this week (premiering on Paste), and the visuals definitely add to the highly emotional vibe with which the track is already imbued. The video was created by Michael Lawrence and Alex Amoling and treds on well worn subjects like growing up, substance abuse and running away from reality. It's a seriously beautiful bummer, if you're properly braced to follow along where Day Joy leads you. Songs like these read winter to me, always, and even though it's 80 degrees outside (dammit), it's still the right season for these sounds.

We have to wait til February to hear the rest of the album, but you can watch the video now, below:
