If you’re a gamer, you most likely grew up spending Saturdays in your pajamas playing Super Mario Bros., Kirby and other Nintendo video games. Well, this week, nerds and game-lovers alike should be thrilled to know that they have an opportunity to relive that part of their childhood at N3rd Night’s 1 Year Smash – but they’ll have to leave the house. All three versions of Super Smash Bros. comprise the Smash Bros. Tournament, and guests can enter a Smash Bros. costume contest for a chance to win a Gamer’s Inc. gift card for the grand prize. If that doesn’t tickle your childhood fantasies (or you’re looking for some grown-up fun), DJs Hex, Spank and headliner HD Ninja will provide tunes, while the bar serves up two-for-one beer specials until midnight. It might be just the thing to distract you from that repetitive video-game theme music. – Drexler B. James
