More than 50 Florida-based growers featured at Leu Gardens' Annual Plant Sale

Saturday-Sunday, March 16-17 – Annual Plant Sale

9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Harry P. Leu Gardens

1920 N. Forest Ave.

They don’t call it the Audubon Park Garden District for nothing. When you combine the area’s modest, locally owned Palmer’s Garden & Goods along Corrine Drive and the expansive, lush Leu Gardens around the corner, it’s like a full-fledged, green-thumbed Eden. And the gardening set really comes out of the bushes each year for Leu’s annual plant sale, where more than 50 Florida-based growers sell an array of greenery – anything from perennials to fledgling trees to blossoming buds. The best part for beginners: Expert horticulturists will be on hand to lend advice on topics like planting, maintenance and sun exposure. We highly suggest you bring a wagon if you plan to take anything home. This might be the closest you’ll get to viewing the roots of Central Florida’s budding landscape of local growers. – Aimee Vitek
