Yes, the weather is yo-yoing nonsensically, and it’s harder than usual to remember what season we’re in here in Florida. But! One show this week is sure to soothe the confusion with perfectly tempered bubblegum pop meant for carefree enjoyment. We are total suckers for lo-fi pop of the variety that California’s Peach Kelli Pop delivers so sweetly, like they rolled off an ice cream truck instead of out of a tour van. Featuring Allie Hanlon of garage punk band White Wires, you can expect the fun factor of this show to be on par with White Wires labelmates Mean Jeans and Big Eyes, who both killed when they rolled through town at different shows last year. Plus, their merch features a playful, brace-faced twist on the famous Rolling Stones tongue-and-lips art that might transport some of you to ’90s adolescence and have you craving a bucketful of tongue splashers. – Ashley Belanger
