Friday, April 5 – Battle Knights: 5 Year Return of UCF Elements of Hip Hop

7:30 p.m.

UCF Education Complex & Gym

4000 Central Florida Blvd., Room 205

After five years of silence, the heavy bass often associated with hip-hop music makes its grand return to UCF. Return? When did it ever leave, with Knightcast blasting away in the union every other day? The return comes via the arrival of UCF Elements of Hip Hop and their b-boy showdown, Battle Knights, where breakers show off their dance skills, harkening back to the breakdancing seen in ’90s music videos. And what grand return wouldn’t be complete without some special guests, like J-Storm and Rubox from the legendary TableHogz Crew, or Keebz from Mind 180. This free hip-hop dance competition and showcase is not a night you want to miss. So, break out those giant gold chains, throw on your favorite snapback and head out to dance! – Drexler B. James
