A new sports training facility, Quinco Baseball Academy, sees its grand opening this weekend (April 13-14) in Winter Park.
The 30,000 square-foot indoor complex not only offers 16 batting/pitching cages, an artificial turf infield and a weight training area, but it also features a ProBatter PX2 system.
This state-of-the-art simulator, used by MLB teams, the likes of the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers, faces a hitter against a live, computer-simulated pitcher's fastballs and sliders – with speeds up to 100 mph.
Quinco is set to hold private and group training sessions led by former MLB players, which are open to baseball and softball players of all ages and skill levels. The training facility also opens with a pro shop, a PS3 gaming area and concession area with bar-top seating.
