TODAY show tapes live at Universal Orlando

As part of the TODAY show’s Great American Adventure series, Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Willie Geist stopped by Universal Orlando this morning for a live taping of the show. And from what we hear, a large crowd of Central Floridians warmly welcomed the gang.

It’s a kick off of sorts to the summer season, as five anchors travel and report live in touristy locales around the country. They started on May 20 in Hawaii and then were originally scheduled for a trip to Yellowstone, but instead headed to Oklahoma City in wake of the devastating tornado. The crew visited Chicago yesterday, and after today’s broadcast in Orlando, will head to the Jersey Shore for their final stop (which will also highlight rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Sandy).

We grabbed a couple Instagram shots of the TODAY group in Orlando from their feed, but you’ll find more photos on the TODAY show website.
