Orlando "jumping bean" wows SYTYCD judges, heads to Vegas for semifinals

Reality-TV junkies and local artsy-fartsies unite! We all now have a reason to tune in on Tuesday nights to see three-year veteran of the Orlando Ballet Sebastian Serra compete for a spot on the national dancing competition show So You Think You Can Dance (8 p.m., Fox).

Serra impressed the judges in the audition portion of the show, which aired on May 21, and earned himself a spot at "Vegas Week," where he'll compete with other selected dancers from across the nation for one of 20 finalist positions. Curious about the comments? Head judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe loved him, but not his "loud" '80s-throwback shorts. Mary Murphy hated the tribal music Serra chose for his modern routine, but loved his style, and guest judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson called him "a little Puerto Rican jumping bean." We're not even gonna touch that one.
