Talk about a national sports hotspot: Looks like Orlando will play host to another big game in the future, and this time it's the ECHL All-Star hockey game that will be played at Amway Center on January 21, 2015. (The Arena Football League's ArenaBowl is set to go down on August 17, 2013 at Amway.)

The announcement comes riding on the heels of the Orlando Solar Bears' first season playing in the ECHL. And it was a successful one at that: The Bears finished third in the league overall, boasting average game attendance rates of more than 6,500.

The week-long activities surrounding the ECHL All-Star Game should provide a nice boost to the Orlando economy, and as Mayor Buddy Dyer stated, "The selection of Orlando to host the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game is another testament to our community's ability to host top-tier sporting events."
