The announcement comes riding on the heels of the Orlando Solar Bears' first season playing in the ECHL. And it was a successful one at that: The Bears finished third in the league overall, boasting average game attendance rates of more than 6,500.
The week-long activities surrounding the ECHL All-Star Game should provide a nice boost to the Orlando economy, and as Mayor Buddy Dyer stated, "The selection of Orlando to host the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game is another testament to our community's ability to host top-tier sporting events."
