Legoland Florida to open hotel in 2015




Legoland Florida has officially announced what theme park blogs been gossiping about for weeks: In 2015, it plans to open a 152-room hotel. Naturally, the hotel will be all primary colors and crazy Lego design, with Lego-themed furniture and the like. Basically, a Lego fan's dream come true.

Florida general manager Adrian Jones said in his announcement about the project that he thinks this will be a game changer for both Legoland Florida and Polk County.

"We're hoping that this will be a catalyst for a broader change," he said. "And developers will look at Winter Haven and look at Polk County now as a viable resort proposition, not just Legoland as a day proposition."
