Hoffman's body was found by a friend early Saturday morning in his Greenwich Village apartment.

Hoffman age 46, who won an Academy Award for the lead role in the 2005 film "Capote", admittedly checked himself into rehab last year for heroin use. No-one is certain as to the exact cause of death at the moment of this post, but evidence would suggest a possible drug overdose, although the New York Police Department is still investigating.
