I hate being the bearer of bad news after declaring loudly that Dead Milkmen ARE playing Orlando, but I've finally heard confirmation from the show's organizer, and it's not what any of us wanted to hear. I'm afraid (after what I'd call admirable persistence to figure out an Orlando-based solution) he wound up having to relocate the April 12 punk show to Tampa's Brass Mug. For those fans willing to make the trek, keep an eye here for a show update and expect to see it posted on Dead Milkmen's site soon.
You wanna know why, right? It was a combination of things. At first, the show was going to be at a new Orlando venue, Fabbio's Live, but due to specific hurdles regarding city ordinances that would have cut the venue's occupancy in half, that venue's grand opening has been seemingly tabled. The next step was to find a new home for the show at an Orlando venue with a minimum capacity of 500, but apparently none of the local venues of that size or larger were willing to work with the show promoter to keep the show in town.
See ya in Tampa, or maybe at Total Punk's Total Fuck Off Weekend this Friday/Saturday?
