New beer data: Americans really, really love Blue Moon … and Pabst


This infographic tracks American beer drinking habits for the past few years, with a few surprising results. Most notable: Consumption of Coors product Blue Moon has doubled since 2008, whereas Michelob Light is suffering with 51 percent fewer fans. Craft beers are doing pretty well, with Fat Tire and Magic Hat actually making strong gains, but  don't discount good old American "buzzwater": Pabst Blue Ribbon is nipping at Blue Moon's heels with almost 100 percent increase.
