A bomb threat has been called into Boone and Jones High Schools. The schools, along with nearby Blankner Elementary School have been placed on lockdown. The bomb threat to the two schools was called in by an unknown male. It is not currently known if the bomb threat was made to avoid taking FCATs, which were already delayed earlier this week.
We will update this story as we receive further information.
UPDATE: The lockdowns are now over at Boone High and Blankner Elementary. A suspicious backpack is being investigated at Jones High.
