Last April, Rollins College's Fox Fest featured a pretty cool lineup that balanced national acts and local acts well, with Jacuzzi Boys and Bright Light Social Hour headlining the free music showcase alongside loved local and local-ish bands Saskatchewan, the Groove Orient and Levek. This year, they ran into money trouble. Event funding is the worst. It seems Fox Fest almost didn't come to fruition this year, but at the last minute, sponsors made it possible to book a tight bill of all local bands including Relief in Abstract standout Fortune Howl.
This year's Fox Fest is 4-10 p.m. Saturday, April 26 and it's totally free and open to the public. (Grab a straw hat to get you through the sets before the sun's set) In addition to Fortune Howl (who plays at 4:30 p.m. so don't be late), you can catch the Groove Orient (who released Welcome to the Show on April 10) again, plus Mojave Wilde and Room Full of Strangers. (RSVP)
