It's time to update the Days Since Last SunRail Accident website. We just got notification from the Orlando Police Department that there was a minor accident in downtown Orlando today involving a SunRail train.
"There was a minor crash between a Sun Rail Train and another vehicle in the area of South Orange Avenue and Michigan Street," Sgt. Dave Allmond wrote in an email to media. "There were no injuries. A tow truck is en route to remove the vehicle from the tracks and open any closed roads."
The last SunRail incident happened on June 23, though SunRail stayed pretty quiet about what happened – all we know is that a SunRail employee was injured and it delayed the train for 75 minutes.
