On Thursday, Aug. 14, celebrity chef Kevin Dundon hosts an Irish Supper Club (with co-host food blogger Scott Joseph) at Raglan Road, which he opened at Downtown Disney in 2005. The four-course Irish meal will feature dishes such as pale-ale-battered Atlantic monkfish and spit-roasted baby lamb, each paired with a wine or beer. The dining event, which kicks off with a reception at 6:30 p.m. will run you $90.10, tax and gratuity included.
The Raglan Road Supper Club will act as preview for the main event, a Dublin-side Supper Club (also hosted by Kevin Dundon and Scott Joseph) that coincides with UCF's participation in the Croke Park Classic. A little pricier than the stateside option (especially if you factor in travel expenses), the meal kicks off Friday, Aug. 29, at a historic restaurant in central Dublin. The menu promises Dunbrody smoked salmon paired with Arthurstown Porter Storm beer, followed by four courses paired with a complementary wine or beer, with a final course of a Guinness chocolate opera cake with caramel popcorn (which basically sounds perfect).
The UCF Knights will face off against Penn State Nittany Lions in their 2014 season opener, which will take place on Saturday, Aug. 30, in Dublin. It will be the first time both teams have played a game outside the United States.Details: Raglan Road Supper Club When: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 Where: Raglan Road, Downtown Disney, 1640 E.
