As much as we love the Winter Park Farmers Market and the Orlando Farmers Market at Lake Eola, both markets are seriously lacking in the petting zoo category. Not so at Good Neighbors Farmers Market in Oviedo. While we love our bottomless mimosas, mimosas don't moo.
Located on a 35-acre working farm, the Good Neighbors Market lets you pick up fresh local produce, honey, artisan breads and crafts from 70 vendors, then throw that stuff in the car and go play with cows, pigs, goats, chickens and bunnies. The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and charges a mere $2 to get your fill of furry, fluffy and a little stinky. While walking around the farm, you can also check out their extensive collection of early-20th century farming equipment and learn about the significance of the heritage breeds of animals that the farm keeps.
Good Neighbors Farmers Market is located at 1101 Lloyds Lane, Oviedo.
