Entries for the 24th annual Florida Film Festival now being accepted

Image via Florida Film Festival Hey, filmmakers, think you have what it takes to present your masterpiece in the 2015 Florida Film Festival? Get it finished soon, because FFF is now accepting entries in the following competition categories:
  • Short films, both animation and narrative
  • Both short and feature length documentaries
  • Narrative features
  • International films
Considered one os the best film festivals in the state, the Florida Film Festival takes place at the Enzian on April 10 - 19, 2015. Submissions can be made either online or via mail. Complete entry rules, forms and guidelines can be found at the festival's website.

Here are the deadlines:

Shorts Early Deadline – October 24, 2014 Late Deadline – November 21, 2014 Features Early Deadline – November 14, 2014 Late Deadline – December 12, 2014 An additional fee is required if you miss the early deadline. Good luck to you if you apply for entry into the fest. Hey, maybe you'll see your flick reviewed in our annual Florida Film Festival coverage next year. Or, who knows, maybe we'll see you up on the Academy Award stage in 2014, since the FFF is a qualifying festival for the Oscars® in both of the short film categories.

We welcome readers to submit letters regarding articles and content in Orlando Weekly. Letters should be a minimum of 150 words, refer to content that has appeared on Orlando Weekly, and must include the writer's full name, address, and phone number for verification purposes. No attachments will be considered. Writers of letters selected for publication will be notified via email. Letters may be edited and shortened for space.
