Tomorrow Orange County Animal Services hosts Barktoberfest at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can browse vendors, visit with dogs available for adoption from a bunch of rescues all over town, gorge yourself on food-truck fare and just hang out with fellow animal lovers.
Right down the street from Barktoberfest, Lambs Eat Ivy salon in Thornton Park is hosting Shampooch, a dog wash that raises money to be donated to local rescue organizations. Bring your dirty dogs and make a donation. Go home with clean dogs and a warmer heart.
