Saturday, Sept. 27, Medical Marijuana Solutions is sponsoring a fundraiser in support of United for Care, the pro-medical marijuana organization chaired by John Morgan. Event organizers hope to further educate the community about the importance of medical marijuana to patients across the state of Florida.

At the fundraiser, Tim Morgan, John Morgan's younger brother, will tell his personal story of recovery and courage. The younger Morgan is confined to a wheelchair following an accident while on duty at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  The only relief he has been able to find from his painful muscle spasms has been marijuana. He is the main inspiration between John Morgan's push to legalize medical marijuana in the state of Florida.

Additionally, Blue Ribbon Commissioner Dr. Clifford Selsky, PhD, MD plans to speak about the importance of the legalization of cannabis, especially in cases where patients are dying because they do not have access to medical marijuana.

The details:

When: 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27

Where: A private residence, 1553 Heights Lane, Longwood

Cost: A donation of $50 to $100
