In case you missed all the build-up leading up to the event and the gleeful pics on our social media (and in our galleries), our first annual Artlando was a roaring success. Yeah, we had a bit of (OK, a lot of) rain, but we didn't let it dampen out party! We still had exactly what we dreamed of: a day full of local artists showcasing their craft to the absolute best of their ability. We had painters, charcoal artists, chalk artists, dancers, bands, puppets and even science!

At the end of the daytime portion of events, we gave out awards to visual artists who were participating in the live art competition. Here are the winners:

  • Best of Show: German Lemus
  • Best of Show, runner up: Sabel Robinson
  • Artist's Choice: Boy Kong
  • Artist's Choice, runner up: German Lemus
  • Best Orlando City Lion: German Lemus
  • Orlando Weekly Pick: Chris Tobar

Here's a look at their winning work.
