Anglers for Conservation (AFC) is a nonprofit that works with recreational fishing communities to inform and educate on sustainable fishing. AFC, in cooperation with Fishing Florida Radio, Coastal Angler Magazine Orlando and Fish on Fire, hosts a day full of fun and all-you-can-eat gumbo, with all proceeds going to AFC and their conservation efforts. There’s also a silent auction and raffle with bass prints, fishing tackle and gift certificates, not to mention a 12-foot Native Versa paddleboard and a Hobie Outback fishing boat. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more (insert unoffending word to do with Flori-duh) event to belly up to this weekend.
