Not up for showcasing your kitchen skills?
Not into dressing up for turkey dinner on the town?
That's cool: There's a third choice, but you'll need to act fast. Order your Thanksgiving dinner from Catering for Good, and you'll actually be helping change lives (not to be all weird and dramatic about it) by being too damn lazy to cook; proceeds from their Holiday Turkey Dinner benefit Second Harvest's culinary training program. (Don't worry, the program's professional chefs will cook your dinner, not the students.) Place your order by Nov. 21 for turkey, gravy, stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole and green beans amandine; the $130 dinner serves eight to 10 people. All you need to do is buy (or make) dessert, pick up your feast on Nov. 26 and sling it all on the table the next day. Dunzo. Call 407-514-1048 to order.
And vegans, don't feel left out. Ethos Vegan Kitchen is offering a Thanksgiving Takeaway as well: tofurkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and cranberry sauce. Order by Nov. 22 for a party of one (maybe for that lone vegan at the traditional table?), or as many as 20 servings at $15.50 a pop. They're also taking orders for vegan pumpkin pie (graham-cracker crust; serves eight; $18.50; order by Nov. 23). Call 407-228-3898 to order.
