WINTER PARK HARVEST FESTIVAL PHOTO BY JOHN RIFE
This daylong event brings together local farmers, gardeners and families. Throughout the festival will be cooking demonstrations, just in time to inspire some Thanksgiving side dishes. Meet the farmers and take part in deliciously informative seminars, workshops and roundtables focused on the local food system. There will be farm-fresh food trucks and Florida’s very own Swamp Head beer will be on tap. So grab a brewski and enjoy traditional bluegrass and folk music from some of the best pickers around. Expect activities for all ages with youth-focused sessions, games, and hands-on gardening and craft activities. Thinking about riding your bike? The Winter Park Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee is providing a free bike valet service for those of you who hate parking and love the planet. The first 50 people to park their bikes will receive a half-price admission ticket to the “Winter in the Park” holiday ice skating rink (this week’s Do Me, Orlando pick).
