Will there be North Pole dancers?

You know MegaCon and LeakyCon and FetishCon and Spooky Empire. But do you recall the most festive Con of them all? Saturday, the Thornton Park District invites all of the aspiring chimney sweeps-cum-home invaders of Orlando to don their gay apparel – Santa-themed, of course – and wassail the shit out of the area. There will be prizes for Best Mr. and Mrs. Santa, Sexy Santa and Best Overall Santa, so don’t just throw on a pair of cheap reindeer antlers and think that’s gonna cut it, Prancer. Also, don’t dress as an elf; the theme is red, not green. The official SantaCon website advises you not to get drunk and not to make children cry, and we think you should adhere to one of those rules. Here’s a hint: Bring wrapped candy to hand out to kids and cash to pay for your drinks.

noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 | Thornton Park District, East Washington Street and North Summerlin Avenue | santacon.info | free
