Choose your own Everything Is Terrible! adventure

Every time found footage freakshow Everything Is Terrible! comes to town, their show gets a little more elaborate. The mascot-from-hell costumes of early tours gave way to a full-on puppet extravaganza for their holiday special in 2013. Now they’ve added an interactive element, allowing the audience to choose between categories like “Sex vs. Violence” or “Kids vs. Animals,” making the show into something like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, only culled from hundreds of hours of the weirdest instructional tapes and low-budget movies of the ’80s and ’90s. This will also be something of a release party for EIT!’s new 16-hour, three-DVD compilation of their best clips of the past seven years, which will let you replicate the often hilarious, always awkward juxtapositional VHS shitshow of an EIT! live event in the relative safety of your own home.
