Orlando’s annual Tech Week
is already around the corner. From April 13-18, the city’s tech community will sponsor networking events, tours, job fairs and workshops to showcase the work going on in the city’s growing tech sector.
“Orlando Tech Week is an opportunity to bridge the gap between established tech companies, startups and the community to showcase how technology is taking over Orlando,” says executive director of the Orlando Tech Association Orrett Davis.
Events will include a free co-working day at Catalyst, game-design workshops, a techie 5K, a workshop on how to get NASA to fund your projects and tons more.
Events will take place at various downtown venues, including the Church Street Exchange, Cheyenne Saloon, Canvs, Melrose Center, Catalyst, The Iron Yard and Factur. It should be an interesting week, especially given the discussion recently about whether Orlando is the next Silicon Valley or not, which arose after Mayors Buddy Dyer and Teresa Jacobs went to New York City to promote Orlando as the next up-and-coming tech hotspot ...
